The official appetizer of this house. I’ve been making this for years. It’s a tried and true gem coming straight from my Mama’s kitchen. I always get compliments on this recipe and never seem to make enough.
Ingredients*:
2 Avocados
Lime
Tomato
White Onion
Cheddar Cheese – shredded
Jalapeno (optional)
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Salt
Directions:
- Juice a whole lime into a bowl, remove any seeds.
- Dice 2 avocados. Add them to the lime juice and mash to desired chunkiness.
- Small dice the onion and tomato. You’ll want about a ½ cup of tomato and 1/8 cup of onion depending on your preference.
- If you like a spicy kick, small dice ¼ of a jalapeno. Be sure to wash your hands right after.
- Shred the cheddar cheese until you have about ½ cup.
- Add all the ingredients to the bowl and mix.
- Add salt, pepper and garlic salt to taste.
Enjoy along with chips and a margarita for the perfect appetizer.
Love,
Sara
