Emma’s Fabulous Fashion Tips: How to Choose The Outfit For Picture Day

Hi my name is Emma. I’m 7 years old and I love to dress myself. I was getting my outfit ready for picture day the night before and it had to look fabulous. I went through my closet and my dresser to pick out the perfect items. Here’s what I put together and why I think they look great. 🙂

1. The Dress

You need to start with the perfect dress for picture day. I picked a bright green stripe dress because the color pops and you definitely want to stand out in your pictures. It has a nice sparkly waist that shines in the light, and the best part is it flutters when you spin. You definitely want your dress to flutter beautifully. I got my dress a year ago so here’s a similar color dress that I like that would absolutely flutter.

2. Hair Accessories

You have to have a nice big bow that has pretty colors for your hair, and you’ll need to wear a ponytail for it to stay. I picked a bright pink one with colorful hearts because it’s the month of love. And everyone loves hearts. Now add a ribbon to it because it’s cool that it looks like it’s part of the bow and hangs nicely in your hair. The barrette gives it some sparkle like the dress.

3. Leggings

I only like to wear leggings when it’s cold outside and the red and white hearts on these leggings are a pretty match to the dress. Once again hearts are perfect for this month. The pattern is nice and simple and helps the dress pop. Here’s another very cute heart leggings that would look lovely.

4. Knee Socks

I love wearing knee socks. Always have since I was little. You need to make sure the colors on them pop great with the outfit. The pink and green stripes on the knee socks look awesome with the stripes on the dress and goes really well with the leggings. Plus my bow/ribbon is pink, so it’s all perfect together.

5. Shoes

Well, these are the shoes I always wear to school because they sparkle and have some of my favorite toys on them – Shopkins! And I like tying and untying them. Double knots rule. You can get them here if you love Shopkins too.
