It’s spring break and I am so ready for a vacation. Sadly, I don’t have a lot of time off this year, but I’m still planning to make the most of this year’s break. William is off of school and ready to chill. We’re taking a Texas-sized road trip this year to Lost Pines outside of Austin. Here are my must-have items for the trip.
Mid Rise Camo Stretch Cutoff Shorts
Cute cutoffs in camo print. I love these with a white or pale blue tank.
Low Rise Relaxed Destroyed Denim Shorts
These have a decent rise and are made of a stretchy denim. Love the distressed details for a relaxed look. These are on sale right now when you buy two!
Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers
These are on my wish list. I haven’t justified the expense yet – but I’ll probably find a decent excuse soon. I love that these would look just as good with yoga leggings or a dress. Definitely want.
Brushed Fleece Wrap Top
I would not have believed it, but this top makes anything look good. It’s super, super soft and can go over a t-shirt and instantly dress it up and warm you up. Buy this now.
The North Face Women’s Furry Fleece Jacket
Because why not?
The Perfect Tee-Shirt
I’m always trying to find the perfect tee. I am loving this thin tee from Nordstroms. It’s soft, flowy and comfortable but still sexy. I love to put a lacy bralette underneath and let it show through. I love it so much I bought it in three colors.
Mar Y Sol Caracas Tote
I have a very similar tote from last year. As long as it’s big and has pom poms, I am all in. This cute one is from Banana Republic and would hold all your beach essentials.
Away Suit Case
In love with this brand. So light weight and functional.
Birkenstock Neon Yellow Sandal
Ok, I have never ever been a fan of Birkenstock’s. One pair of socks is all that stands between yours and total fashion annihilation. But these are so happy and comfy. They’ve really lasted and fit better with time. And they’ll show off my pedicure. I vow there will be no socks.DL1961 Florence Cropped Skinny Jeans
DL1961 are in my top three favorite jean brands. They stretch and are comfy but due to some sort of magic they also keep their shape, which a lot of the premium brands don’t do.
Murder on the Orient Express: A Hercule Poirot Mystery
No vacation is complete without a good book. My go-to are classic crime mysteries. I was brought up on the BBC show, and my all-time favorite is Poirot. It’s the perfect little escape.
Crown Royal Black Whisky
It puts the crown in Crown and Chaos. Let’s face it, the best part of vacation is day drinking. I’ll be sure to pack a bottle of Crown Black. It’s my favorite to mix with coke and it’s so easy to pour into a Yeti and go.
Never Drinking Again Embroidery Tee
I love the irony here, so of course I had to have it.
Prynt Pocket
This portable photo printer was the perfect gift. I love being able to print out photos from my iPhone on demand. For New Year’s I took candid shots during the evening and gave Prynt photos as one of my party favors. I’m definitely bringing this along with me to capture the moments.
Lavender Ridge Farms Bug Off Natural Insect Repellent
This all natural essential oil blend of cedarwood, lemongrass, lavender and rosemary will keep the bugs away and smells so, so good.
Oakley Feedback Aviators in Rose Gold
I love a good pair of aviators but have the hardest time finding some that work on my face. I love these so much I’ve bought them twice. Also, Oakley has a pretty cool virtual tool to try them one before going into the store, so check that out.
I still have a few days to pack. Is there something I’ve left off (besides a swim suit – which was intentional)? What are your favorite Spring Break essentials?
Love,
Sara
